I had the pleasure of working with WEVR to create a demo for the HTC/Valve Vive VR device. I was the Technical Artist of a small team, and we were given a very tight 7 week deadline to produce an immersive, beautiful underwater experience.
My duty was to rig the mammoth blue whale that is the star of the show. He needed to be able to produce HD quality movements with exaggeration, so the rig needed to withstand the various poses he was going to be in without breaking or tearing.
Secondly, I was tasked with modeling the manta ray as well as rigging him, and finally, creating the animation for him. Below are some screenshots of the app, and below those are two videos on the rigs and animations of the models.
